Ethics of fieldwork

Definition:
Ethics is field of philosophy which deals with good & bad, right & wrong, ought to be & ought not to be etc.
     Field study based report & project deals with different aspect of human rights like – 
                                                                     i.         Socio-economic condition
                                                                    ii.         Health & education
                                                                  iii.         Socio customs & norms
                                                        Above all those subject involve ethical issues or ethical justification.



Ethics of Fieldwork:
  1. Maintain honesty in reporting data, results, methods, & procedures, & publication status.
  2. Maintain objectivity to avoid bias in data analysis & interpretation.
  3. Maintain integrity, acting with sincerity.
  4. Carefulness to avoid careless errors.
  5. Proper documentation of all aspects.
  6. Openness in sharing data, results, ideas & tools.
  7. Non-discrimination against respondents on the basis of sex, race, & religion.
  8. Respect the privacy & confidentiality of the respondents.
