Future scenario of Renewable Energy Resource in India

Future scenario of Renewable Energy Resource in India:
The Indian Government has increased the target of renewable energy capacity to 175 GW by the year 2022, which includes 100 GW ( gigawatts) from solar, 60 GW from wind, 10 GW from bio-power & 5 GW from small hydro-power.

Future Scenario of Solar Energy:
*     Solar power in India is a fast developing industry.
*     The country’s solar installed capacity reached 29.55 GW as of 30 June 2019.
*     India has become globally the lowest cost producer of solar power.
*     The Indian Government has increased the target of renewable energy capacity to 175 GW by the year 2022, which includes 100 GW from solar.
Advantage:
  1. Advantage of using solar energy is its eco-friendly nature.
  2. It does not release CO2 and other harmful gases which responsible for global warming.
  3. The solar energy sector will act as a base of sustainable development for India.
  4. Solar energy will generate space for employment and will help make Indian economy strong.
Future Scenario of Wind Energy:
*     Wind power accounts for 10% of India’s total installed power capacity.
*     The fourth largest installed wind power capacity in the world.
*     The Indian Government has increased the target of renewable energy capacity to 175 GW by the year 2022, which includes 60 GW from wind.
Advantage:
  1. Advantage of using this energy is its eco-friendly nature.
  2. It does not release CO2 and other harmful gases which responsible for global warming.
  3. This energy generated without polluting environment.
  4. Wind energy can be used directly as mechanical energy.
Future Scenario of Bio-Power:
*     In India, the estimated for the production of biogas is about 20757 lakh cubic meters in 2014-15.
*     This is equivalent to 5 % of the total LPG consumption in the country today.
*     The Indian Government has increased the target of renewable energy capacity to 175 GW by the year 2022, which includes 10 GW from Bio-Power.
Advantage:
  1. Advantage of using this energy is its eco-friendly nature.
  2. It does not release CO2 and other harmful gases which responsible for global warming.
  3. It can provide distributed energy generation, thereby providing much-needed energy for remote locations and villages.
  4. In many case, it provides a beneficial way of disposing organic waste.
Future Scenario of Hydro-Power:
*     India is the 7th largest producer of hydroelectric power in the world.
*     As 0f 30 April 2017, India’s installed utility-scale hydroelectric capacity was 13.5% of its total utility power generation capacity.
*     The Indian Government has increased the target of renewable energy capacity to 175 GW by the year 2022, which includes 5 GW from Hydro-Power.
Advantage:
  1. Advantage of using this energy is its eco-friendly nature.
  2. It does not release CO2 and other harmful gases which responsible for global warming.
  3. Compare to among others fossil fuels and nuclear energy, hydroelectricity is much safety.
  4. It is very reliable energy.

Behaviouralism in geography

Behaviouralism Behaviouralism is an approach in human geography that came to prominence in the human geography of the 1960s and 1970s. It goes out of the idea that people are the determining factor in the explanation of space. Behaviouralism tries to give an explanation of the spatiallity of human activities. And thereby they use a complex universally applicable model.  Definition of Behaviouralism: The particular aspect with which geographical content is analyzed using mathematical statistics & human sensitivity, is called behavioralism. Concept of Behaviouralism: The Behaviouralism revolution is a theoretical concept. Its theories are not based on assumptions, but are actually explored through ascending methods based on the experience of human behavior. An analysis of the significance of geographical issues in behavioral perspectives within a system, so therefore is no definite boundary to behavioral geography. The main purpose of behaviouralism geography is to in...

Positive and Negative Impact of Tide

Tide has many effects on human life. The impact of tide discuss below- Positive Impact of Tide: Shipping:  Tides are helpful in making rivers navigable for large vessels. During the high tide, the amount of river water & height of river water increases. At that time, large vessels/ships can easily come to rive port. Again, during the low tide, ships can be returned from port to sea.  For example - London & Kolkata have become important ports because of the tidal waves in the Thames & the Hooghly rivers respectively. Pollution-free Environment:  When tidal water flows, rivers are free of garbage. As a result, the environment is not pollutant near the river areas. Obstruction of Sediments deposited & Delta Formation:  As a result of the tide, sediments not to deposited & prevents delta formation.  For example-  In the Sundarbans, small creeks are capable of navigating during tides.  Regular Water flow:  During th...

Concentric zone theory

Theories of City Structure-Concentric Zone Theory Introduction: The Concentric or Zonal Theory of urban landuse was first proposed in 1923 by E.W. Burgess. He was a sociologist. The idea behind the concentric model is that the development of a city takes place outwards from its central area in a series of concentric circles to form zones.  Assumption:        i.           Cultural & social heterogeneity of the population.       ii.           Commercial-industrial base to the economy of the city.     iii.           Private ownership of property & economic competition for space.     iv.           Expanding area & population of the city.       v.    ...
